Leaf, The Light Within: Part 2

I am so happy with the previous post that I have decided to make a series of The Light Within.

On the surface we are pock marked and aging from birth. But, with a light burning within us, we are made beautiful.

The light almost seems to be buoying the leaf up here.

While beautiful in its own right, this fallen leaf is made regal by the light in the previous pictures.

The Light Within

The previous post, when the sun shone through the rose, it made me realize the depth of color in the petals. Is it any different with people. If held up to the light, is the deeper meaning of our souls not exposed?

A Flower, Each of Us

Whether in Mumbai, India, or Pasadena, California, we share this earth. Is there a greater symbol linking us through the physical world than the image of a flower? We focus on those things dividing us, when there is greater evidence for commonality.

Like us, reaching for the sun, of different colors, but the same.
We focus on the thorns between us, but they are our thorns.
They are our stems, they are our petals.
It is the beauty in each of us, tying us together.
